I have recently been involved in the purchase of a home, and had the fortune to have Ewald Ler'che be the agent with whom I dealt.
I was indeed very happy with the attention and personal help I received from Ewald. He was at all times professional, honest and most helpful. He went out of his way to liaise with the vendor, and I never had a problem contacting him, and he made himself available whenever necessary. Even though he was acting principally on behalf of the vendor, I never, at any stage, felt I was disadvantaged, and in fact he went out of his way to act on my behalf as well, which eventually resulted in a satisfactory and quick outcome on both sides.
One tends to always be suspicious of real estarte agents, as they have a certain reputation, but I must say Ewald in no way fits into this category.
I would be more than happy to deal with him again at any time, and most certainly would recommend him as an agent, either for the vendor, or the purchaser.

Having been looking for a property for 2 years. Ewald was the first agent I met who I felt I could actually engage with. He listened to me when I described what we were after and only presented properties he had listed that fit our criteria - something all others failed to do despite constantly asking 'what are you looking for?' Ewald also gave an honest opinion of the properties in terms of their suitability for our needs and addressed any concerns re each. Honest real estate agents are a rare beast.

I have known Ewald for several years, as we purchased with his help previously. In that context I found Ewald to be highly proactive and honourable in all his dealings, and he was a valuable advisor to us throughout the process.
Subsequently when it was time to sell, we needed to decide whether to use one of the large real estate networks that seem intent on selling expensive advertising to build their own brand, or should we use a reputable boutique agency offering more 'personal touch' as provided by a seasoned and experienced real estate professional like Ewald Ler'che.
We choose Ewald because of his knowledge of the lower North Shore, and his ability to successfully work with both Buyers and Sellers at a very professional level. He also proved to be very commercially savvy with our interests at heart, and approached the costly advertising as a backup strategy should it be required at a later time.
We had expected the sales process to take 3 months. Remarkably, the entire sales campaign was competed within 3 weeks from start to finish. Ewald did it without advertising, and most importantly, he did it with a minimum of disruption to our family by scheduling appointments at convenient times.
I would use Ewald again and recommend him to others without hesitation.
